Angels Take Lower Mainland Championship
The LFA Volleyball program continued it's remarkable season when our Senior Angels captured the Lower Mainland Championship on Saturday. With the victory, they secured their spot at the AAA Provincial Championship Tournament in Kelowna.
The LFA Angel’s marched to the Championship by playing at a very high level with a varied attack; excellent defense that frustrated opponents; and aggressive serving.
Playing great volleyball, the Angel’s cruised through the qualifications. The stiffest competition came in the final. Though they were routed in the first set, Crofton House dug deep and put up a strong fight to take the second set and force a third and deciding set. The Angel’s superiority surfaced again in the third set and the Championship was LFA’s. The team now head’s to Kelowna for the Provincial Championships as the 3rd ranked team. Good luck at the Provincials Angels!
