Tuition & Financial Aid

Tuition for the 2024-2025 school year is $9,600.00.

There are also some fees that may be applicable, depending on the year of study and student activities. Athletic fees help to cover the costs of team uniforms, equipment, referees, tournament fees and transportation to venue. Students on athletic teams are assessed a fee which varies by sport.

There is also an annual fee of $450 (all grades) which is allocated to maintaining our technology infrastructure. There is a new student fee of $500 to cover the cost of registration, student locks, library/transit cards, emergency supplies, science resources and their bible.

Financial Assistance
Little Flower Academy is committed to making the only Catholic high school education for girls accessible where tuition is a barrier to entry. Through the LFA Foundation, extensive bursary support is available those who would not otherwise be able to attend LFA.

Financial aid is based on a yearly assessment completed by an independent financial institution who specializes in needs assessment. Financial aid is distributed based on the demonstrated need between the cost of Little Flower Academy and the resources a family has to meet that cost.

It is critically important to note that your application for admission and your request for financial aid are considered independently. Financial aid applications are typically made after an offer of placement has been made by the school to a family. Regardless of timing, bursary applications have no bearing on offers of placement.

Fundraising

Annual Fund
As with nearly all independent schools, we ask for gifts to provide much of the enrichment that makes LFA special. Our Annual Fund plays a key role in funding a significant portion of our school's operating expenses as the tuition and the government grants do not cover the cost of educating each student. For this reason, we ask our community for gifts annually to bridge this gap.

Visionary Giving
The facilities we offer are the result of nearly 100 years of investment by both the Sisters of St. Ann and by our school community. All of our capital expenses and campus improvements are made through the philanthropic generosity of our community. Similarly, the school's endowment has been built through generous gifts to the school and is a permanent legacy that increasingly funds both operating and capital expenses at the school. Visionary giving for campus projects and endowment is a blessing for every girl who attends the school.

Tuition Tax Benefit

As a Catholic school with a religious curriculum, the school is eligible to extend a tax receipt for a  portion of the tuition paid. The rate is based on an established and audited formula that is approved by the Canada Revenue Agency and calculated each year for all religious schools, regardless of faith.

Catholic and Independent

While our curriculum is consistent with any Catholic high school in our Archdiocese, our finances and administration are entirely independent. We receive no financial support from the Catholic Independent Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese (CISVA), nor from local parishes, Project Advance or the Church generally.

Nevertheless, we remain committed to maintaining tuition largely consistent with Catholic schools in our region. Amongst like-financed independent schools, our tuition is amongst the most affordable anywhere in the Lower Mainland.
