<full>Jacqueline, who also plays for our LFA ultimate team in the spring season, was the youngest member of the Canadian team that played so well at this year's World Junior Ultimate Championships. She also had the honour of being the flag bearer for Canada. <br /><br />The Canadian team went through the preliminary rounds with a perfect 6-0 record. They overcame Finland and Australia in playoff matches to make the final. In a super-close gold medal match, the Columbian team (which Canada had beaten in the preliminary rounds) handed Canada its only loss. Congratulations Jacqueline!<br /></full>

<brief>It's still&nbsp;summer and September feels a long way off. However, with the upcoming school year in mind, new families will receive information about logging on to our site in the mail over the next few weeks. <br /></brief>
<full>Our website is the most important tool we have for communicating with our community, so it is particularly important for our families to be able to "log on" to the site. Details on how to log on for the first time will be mailed to our new families over the next little while. Once you have logged on, there will be updates on uniforms, supplies, and first week of school orientation information. <br /><br />Returning families will want to <a href="https://www.lfabc.org/podium/default.aspx?t=1300">log on</a> too. The site is regularly updated with information relating to the upcoming school year. In fact, school supply lists, PE uniform sale information, start dates and year-end school photos are all available right now.</full>

<brief>Our LFA Chamber Choir return from New Orleans, having achieved gold for the fifth straight year, as well as winning two prestigious trophies for exceptional performance.</brief>
<full>The LFA Chamber Choir traveled to New Orleans with Choir Director Mrs. Mislang Kirkpatrick from April 21-26 to participate in the Heritage Music Festival. Not only did they achieve gold for their performance at the festival, but they were awared the trophy for <i>Best Overall Choir</i> and won the <i>Adjudicators' Trophy</i> for highest overall score. As testament to the quality of our LFA choral program and the dedication of everyone involved and for perspective on this remarkable achievement, LFA is the first Single A school (an enrollment of 600 or fewer) to ever be awarded these presitigious trophies.<br /><br />In addition, the performance garnered an invitation for our Chamber Choir to perform at&nbsp;one&nbsp;of the&nbsp;Festival of Gold shows in&nbsp;Chicago, Los Angeles or New York. We were also honoured with a special invitation to sing at Carnegie Hall for next year's National Youth Choir Festival--an exceptional commendation&nbsp;that our Chamber Choir Angels must be extremely proud of!<br /><br />Congratulations to our Chamber Choir Angels!<br /></full>
