Angels punch ticket to the Provincials and another Sea to Sky Title

The first set was back and forth but the Angels were able to build a 16-9 lead off great serving and offense. However, it was the Magee Lions (5th ranked in the Province and 13-0 in the Vancouver league) who took the first set 25-18 from some inspired play on defense and serving.

The Angels regrouped and with the understanding that their season was on the line they approached the second set with greater determination. This determination paid off as the team quickly took control of the match and marched to a convincing win by scores of 25-12, 25-14, 25-11. The win solidified the teams spot in the Provincials (Dec 2-4, hosted by Crofton House and LFA). It means they will play in the finals of the Sea to Sky Zone versus the North Shore #1 team, Windsor. The game will be played Thursday Nov 19th at 5:30pm at Handsworth Secondary.
