Junior Provincials Public Speaking Competition

Congratulations to our Junior Public speaking team who excelled at the recent Provincial competition. Our very own Raine Gurton was awarded the top overall score to become BC's number one speaker in the tournament! Raine will go on to Nationals along with Kristina Bedford who'll be there as an alternate.

Kristina Bedford will be an alternate for Nationals. Raine Gurton, Kristina Bedford, Sienna Loo and Oafe Cheung all made finals with Oafe winning first place in Interpretative and Kristina winning third place in Interpretative as well as first place in Impromptu. Raine also won third in Persuasive Speaking and Impromptu. Sienna, Sophia and Eileen also scored very highly.

A huge thanks to our Senior speakers Maya Mior, Maria Zen Baxter, Audrey Braun and Audrey Chan in addition to alumnas Asha Mior and Joyce Chen who gave generously of their time to train the team.
