Grape Escape Menu Sneak Peek

It is difficult to communicate how excited the planning committee is for our Canada 150 Wine Portage version of the Grape Escape! Our sommelier (parent of alumna, Lara Victoria) and Chef Paul are already firing ideas back and forth for the menu. Interested in just how amazing it is looking? Read on...
Just one caveat to our sneak peak. Nothing is finalized just yet. Wine availability will play a role. But they're dreaming big and we're super excited with ideas that are being stick-handled about right now:
  • Salmon and bannock paired with a Canadian Ehrenfelser (German varietal) 
  • Poutine with pulled pork paired with a sparkling wine (from Nova Scotia!)
  • Lettuce wrap with a Canadian Viogner (French varietal)
  • Bison/elk with a Blended Red
  • Tourtiere with a lovely Cab Franc
  • Apple tart/galette or apple toffee pudding with a Canadian mead
There seems to be a engaged discussion on how we can squeeze in oysters or mussels as well.
