Angel Volunteers Provide Christmas Cheer

With Christmas approaching, few will be surprised to hear that our LFA students are out and about, giving back to their community. Just this week, Claire Meehan '20 led the charge, organizing a team of volunteer Angels to help out with the The Lipstick Project at Ronald McDonald House.
Fifteen of our students gave up their evening to help with the event at Ronald McDonald House. Several of them were put in charge of running the "Bling Room": a place where the children had the opportunity to decorate reindeer antlers, made bracelets, and made themselves up with temporary tattoos. The kids loved it.

Meanwhile, a group of our Choir Angels teamed up with some boys from VC to entertain families in the main lounge with singing and carols. There happened to be a large elderly population in the house (visiting families) and, in particular, they loved the choir.  Several asked a parent involved with the event, "Where these lovely young ladies came from?". Our parent was very proud to answer "Little Flower Academy".

A quick shout out to our volunteers working with the kids, which included Emma Luft '22, Maddy Luft '20, Bridget Meehan '18, Aine Nunez '20, and Bella Pellizzari '20. Our Choir volunteers included Rachel Angco '20, Nikki Bautista '20, Amara Camacho '20, Jodi Ferrer '20, Abby Hernandez '20, Claire Meehan '20, Stephanie Non '20, Nicole Pizarra '20, Erica Rivera '20 and Alannah Turnbull '20.

For more information on The Lipstick Project, they were recently featured on a Global News segment.
