Spotlight: Senior B Field Hockey

The Senior B field hockey is made up of a mix of Field Hockey Veterans and new players of the sport. As a recreational team, the team has fun practices that focus on building a love for the game and comradery.
The team was led by co-captains Amanda Lee '19 and Maia Lan '20 this year. Amanda was the team’s top scorer and provided mentorship to the younger players. Maia was a stalwart in the defensive line.  Her voice was ever-present on the field. She stepped up to play center-mid a few times, even scoring a goal in their final game of the season. The team incorporated much of Mrs. Larson’s rugby knowledge in their games including taking away time and space from the opposition when on defense, and implementing a chip and chase to get the ball into the offensive zone.
