Graduation Information Meeting

Parents of Grade 11 and 12 students and your daughters are invited to a Graduation Information meeting on Monday, October 1. In addition to grade-specific information, there will be presentations by the University of British Columbia and Corpus Christie College.
The Graduation Information Meeting will be at 5:30pm on Monday, October 1. The evening will start with grade-specific parent meetings from 5:30pm to 6:00pm, which will be followed by presentations from Corpus Christi College and the University of British Columbia from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Students are invited to attend the presentations by CCC and UBC, but cannot be accommodated at the parent meetings due to limited seating. Students are welcome to visit in the Auditorium during the parent meetings.

Grade 11 parents will start the evening in the Library to receive valuable information about the Grade 11 academic program and new curriculum. In addition, a brief overview of the process of applying to post-secondary institutions will be provided. We will end the meeting with what parents and students should expect in Grade 11 and how best to navigate the final years of high school.

Grade 12 parents will start the evening in the Dining Hall to receive information about the post-secondary application process, BC Ministry of Education graduation and awards, and LFA Graduation events and dates. If you are unable to attend the meeting, the graduation information will be posted to the Grade 12 page of the LFA website. All information regarding post-secondary and scholarship applications will be posted and updated regularly on the academic counselling page of the LFA website.

If you have daughters in both Grade 11 and Grade 12 and are, therefore, unable to attend both meetings, we would recommend attending the Grade 12 meeting.

Following the parent meetings, all parents and students are invited to the auditorium for presentations by Corpus Christi College and the University of British Columbia. These presentations will introduce families to the schools and their admission requirements.

As Little Flower is located in a residential community, parking may be challenging. We encourage parents to carpool whenever possible. If you are driving to the school for this event, please consider parking along West King Edward Avenue or Granville Street. Please do not park in lanes or block our neighbours’ driveways.

I encourage you to attend and to take an active role in your daughter’s school experience.

Sincerely,

Diane Little
Principal
