In a school year unlike any in memory, we are still able to find wonderful accomplishments and great joy in the success of our amazing students. LFA was one of very few schools in our Province to fully deliver curriculum across all of our courses and grades. Thanks to the generous response of our community, we made safety enhancements that permitted us to maximize our facilities. We embraced technology, software and strategies to offer engaging remote learning to every student, and--for those most at risk--full time remote learning.
The resiliency shown by our students, faculty and parents was extraordinary. We could not have got through this year without you. Thank you.
We are looking forward to things looking a little more like normal next fall. Public Health Orders and Ministry of Education guidelines permitting, we will return to a linear system (8 courses running from September through June) with everyone in school. That alone will allow for so many additional student extracurricular opportunities. Our hope is that the girls can participate in activities across cohorts, opening more doors to enrichment. And, like so many in society, we are yearning to foster relationships and bring our school community together.
Amidst the roller coaster of adaptations to the delivery of school this year, we continue to move the school forward to a bright future. Research and plans continue to be made on how we can best maximize our school campus. The school’s endowment fund has grown considerably to $1.85 million. We stand poised to make a generational investment in Catholic girls’ education and hope you will look forward to making the journey with us.
As every year, LFA’s Report on Giving is more than a celebration of targets and goals. We want to convey that your gift has a tangible and meaningful impact on the experience of each and every girl at LFA.
Thank you. You have enabled the very best in Catholic, all girls' education.
