At the heart of an LFA education is its mission to educate women within the Catholic faith to reach their fullest potential and lead extraordinary lives.

As Little Flower Academy calls its students to aspire to their fullest potential, it too aspires to be a place of opportunity and learning. Since opening in 1927, LFA has continually progressed and redefined its educational programming, investing in critical campus improvements to provide students with opportunities to stretch, grow, and learn.

The opening of Foundress Hall in 1931 allowed the school to introduce secondary school education. In 1958 a new wing of modern school amenities was opened that completely transformed learning at LFA. In 1992, a generational investment in school facilities lead to the opening of science and technology labs. In 2007, we opened a library, dining hall, art studio, chapel, gym, and humanities classrooms. In 2018, LFA became one of the first secondary schools in Vancouver to build a dedicated STEAM Lab.

Each transformation of our school was preceded by a vision of what more LFA could be for its students, and each transformation was followed by a wealth of opportunities, empowering our students to set their sights even higher.

In 2018, we began work on the most impactful campus redevelopment yet. Working with educational facility planning experts, we developed a comprehensive Functional Plan, which quantified our needs to align them with our goals for educational delivery. The result is a bold vision to take us into our next hundred years.

From bottom floor to top floor, this project is all about delivering exceptional experiential learning to give students the skills and confidence to be values-based leaders of tomorrow.

The Flourish Campaign is critical to realizing this transformational campus master plan, and your support will be a key building block to this generational project. In order to make this vision a reality, we will rely on the strength and dedication of our entire school community.

The project will touch every facet of the student experience. Larger classrooms, break-out spaces, a centralized and cross-curricular STEAM Design Lab, a multi-use Performance Centre, dedicated performing arts rehearsal spaces, new science labs, and an all-weather synthetic field, are just the highlights of the plans for improvement. The Flourish campaign will not only make way for a school more equipped to serve the highest aspirations of its students, but it will mark the next evolution of Little Flower Academy.

Sincerely,
Diane Little
