Sr Basketball finishes 4th at BC Catholic Championships

Our Sr Angels competed in their first major tournament of the year this past weekend. The Angels started strong in tournament play, making it all the way to the semi-final match! There they were bested by STM in a 47-37 contest, setting up a Bronze Medal Game against Notre Dame. Our Angels got off to a slow start as Notre Dame found themselves with a 20-12 lead after the first quarter of play. However, our Angels rallied back hard behind key offensive contributions from Clara Juca, Rylie Tsui, and Isabella Heffring. The Angels managed to bring the game back within 4 points, but their comeback was stopped short by the clock as the game ended 51-47 for Notre Dame. The 4th place finish is a promising start for our Seniors as they look forward to league games against York House, Notre Dame, and Burnaby Central this week.
