Angel Captures Championship

The Vancouver-Strathcona team won all five games en route to capturing the NACBAIT championship. In a testament to the quality of the team, they defeated their New York opponents in the finals by 28 points. It was a extraordinary playing experience for Alexis. In addition to being one of three younger players on a team consisting of mostly Grade 12s, she had the opportunity to experience Dallas, including visiting the JFK memorial and sampling Texas BBQ.

One other highlight for the girls was going to a WNBA game meeting Dallas superstar and Nike celebrity Skylar Diggins before the game. While LFA basketball is still 6 months away, there's a whole off-season of sporting experiences to keep our athletes enganged and improving!
