LFA Senior Field Hockey launched their 2025 campaign with a great game and a sound win over Tamanawis on Thursday afternoon.
Battling Vancouver traffic, our LFA team rocked up to the field late. With no warm up and a stand-in goalie to start the game, it took a while for LFA to find their feet. With several players new to the system we play and everyone getting used to one another, the team did exceedingly well to find their way to great hockey by playing through some hiccups.
Eventually goals came aplenty. Short corner goals and goals from open play. Amy and Rachel led the way with two goals each while Bea, Eva and Emma also got once each. There could have been more but for some lovely saves from the Tamanawis keeper.
We are excited to play Crofton in our regular season opener next week: 3:45pm @ Crofton on Wednesday, Sept. 17. Come cheer us on!
