Field Hockey Angels Snag Critical Win

Our LFA Angels won their league game yesterday to keep the best route to provincials within in their grasp.
With our independent school league in Vancouver among the toughest leagues in the province, every point counts towards good seeding at the Zone championships. LFA looked good to secure these critical points from the first whistle. Fantastic possession and searching attacks had LFA buzzing around the YHS D. It would ultimately be Michaela who broke the deadlock, deflecting a lovely pass from Eva. Michaela doubled our lead in the first quarter and we were off to the races.

The second and third quarter was all LFA, despite some dogged determination from York. AnneYee scored a beauty and nearly had another. Michaela got her hatrick and Emma got a tap-in that she's so reliable to do. With a number of girls from each team playing club together, the tone of the game was competitive but lovely throughout.

A good win as we look forward to our big rematch with Crofton next, which seems likely to determine top spot in the Vancouver independent league.
