Last month our three Grade 9 religion classes ventured to Camp Capilano at the foot of Grouse Mountain for our annual Retreat Daze: “Loving God, Loving Others, Loving Ourselves”.
Nestled in the conifer groves and fresh forest air, the camp offered an opportunity for time out from our fast-paced new school schedule, for renewing friendships, and remembering our greatest, lifelong friendship in Jesus. Each morning we celebrated mass and grew together in our sense of belonging. After six weeks of dedicated planning and organizing, our awesome, high energy Grade 11/12 retreat leaders directed us in an action packed day of crafts, games, and good times. As well, students bonded in cozy fireside chats, and shared an incredible potluck lunch served up by our volunteer parents. Indeed, all three days were amazing, action packed adventures.
Mega thanks to Mrs. Carlson, and all Grade 11/12 retreat leaders, to our volunteer parents, and to all our willing participants for their enthusiasm and great memories!
