Advancement Update
Rooted in the tradition of the Sisters of St. Ann, we educate young women within an intercultural Catholic faith community to realize their full potential: spiritually, intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally. We prepare them to be active participants in building a more just and caring society in response to their baptismal call. That’s the mission of the school and it continues to be central to every decision we make.
Through gifts to both the Annual Fund and the LFA Foundation’s Endowment Fund, we’ve been blessed to have made a remarkable investment in fulfilling the school’s mission. Your gifts have had an impact on girls’ lives and, we believe, have gone towards helping them reach their potential. We want to share some real-world examples:
Spiritually. Your gifts make retreats affordable (or free) at every grade. Our senior Encounter weekend retreat runs twice a year, propelling young women into leadership roles as students explore their faith.
Intellectually. Advanced Placemennt and diverse electives give our students options that prepare them for university: and every girl is accepted into post secondary studies in universities around the world.
Physically. Gifts to the school directly enrich the phys ed and athletics program through modern equipment and technology. Using the latest technology, we have transformed our programs to foster a lifelong understanding of the value of fitness and a healthy lifestyle.
Socially. Clubs and activites abound, offering each girl the opportunity to make an impact on their school and wider community. Gifts makes resources, field trips and speakers possible across more than forty different extracurricular clubs and activities.
Emotionally. Philanthropic giving has had an immense impact on our counselling services and resources these past few years. Whether it’s personal counselling or academic counselling to support girls achieve their goals, the school is responding to the need for personal attention to make the girls’ experience exceptional.
