Our seventh annual Grape Escape was once again a sold out affair thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. For this year’s wine and food pairing journey, guests travelled to Spain under the guiding hand of sommelier Lara Victoria, who is also mom to three LFA alumnae.
Lara’s expertly chosen wines were, of course, paired with delicious food prepared by our very own Chef Paul. We started with multiple courses of tapas, and finished with sherry and an incredible cheesecake that everyone is still talking about! In a departure from what has been done in previous years, our third course consisted of tapas paired with two red wines, allowing guests to compare and contrast in a way not previously offered.
After the wine was finished and the food all eaten, guests lingered over coffee and tea to catch up with friends, old and new alike, illustrating that Grape Escape is, above all else, a lovely occasion for our LFA alumnae community to connect. Several classes once again took the opportunity to arrange Grape Escape reunion tables, something that has become a welcome highlight for this event. We look forward to seeing everyone again for next year’s event, sure to be a delight.
