Queen's Counsel (QC) Awarded to Current and Past LFA Chairs

Our LFA community wishes to congratulate both our current Chair of the Jane Rowan Society, Jacy Wingson and our Past Chair, Celso Boscariol, on having been bestowed the honorary title of Queen’s Counsel (QC).
Under the Queen’s Counsel Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council, on the recommendation of the Attorney General, may bestow on lawyers in BC the honourary title of Queen’s Counsel (QC) to recognize exceptional merit and contribution to the legal profession. Jacy Wingson and Celso Boscariol were among the forty British Columbia lawyers announced to receive the honour by Attorney General and Minister of Justice Suzanne Anton on December 16, 2016.

Recipients are nominated by their peers as part of an annual selection process. Minister Anton commented that recipients, "...have demonstrated professional integrity and dedication to their profession and have made valuable contributions as volunteers to communities across the province."

Jacy and Celso have demonstrated their commitment to Catholic education through their volunteerism, expertise, leadership and philanthropic commitment to Little Flower over the past decade. For Jacy, this also included years of voluntary service on the school Parents' Auxiliary. We are grateful to both and congratulate them on this professional recognition.

Celso's Board term ended in 2014. The Boscariol family contniues to serve LFA as Anita Boscariol (Celso's wife) now serves as a Director for the Jane Rowan Society.
