Vancouver Public Library's literary and art magazine, ink, that showcases the very best of Vancouver's teen artists and writers featured a record nine LFA students in it's latest issue.
Congratulations to Sophia Angeles '28, Grace Evangelista '28, Tiffany Huang '29, Alexus Ng '29, Alicia Ng '29, Elise Nguyen '26, Aubrey Paredes '26, Bella Tran '28, and Audrey Yung '28 - LFA writers and artists who have all had their work published in this year's addition of ink (vol 8), Vancouver Public Library's literary and art magazine that showcases the very best of Vancouver's teen artists and writers.
The magazine has featured LFA’s talented writers since its very beginning including Marian Manapat '20 in volumes 1, 2, 3 and 4 as well as Elise LaFleur '18, Maya Mior '22, Anya Trivedi '21, Natalie Viegas '22, Mel Hartnett '23, Chloe Lam '23, Mary Leung '25, Georgia Wallace '22, Sophia Des Roches '27, and Edith Wong '24 over the years but this time nine LFA writers and artists were featured in the pages of ink volume 8.
All the students in this year’s ink were honoured in at a VPL awards night, and we decided to also have our own LFA launch party with our admin team of Mrs. Mcguinty, Mrs Larson, Ms Lang, and Gloria as well as Art and English teacher Ms. Matossian and English teacher, Ms. Tran with library staff there to celebrate our talented Angels.
Mrs. McGuinty congratulated the students : “Keep writing and working on your art – you are all very talented. Your readings and reflections on your work were so powerful.”
