Fabre Chosen as Canadian Student Ambassador

Grade 10 student Lorraine Fabre '18 has been chosen among students from across Canada to be a member of the National Youth Ambassador Forum, organized by French for the Future, a non-profit organization whose purpose is to organize events such as local forums that celebrate French language and culture.

A five day event will be held in Toronto in August 22 to 26 during which the Student Ambassadors will develop their leadership skills and discuss the challenges of bilingualism and what it means to be Francophone. They will also be visiting Toronto's many attractions such as the CN tower. During the following school year, Lorraine will be an ambassador for French, promoting French in her community by organizing events which celebrate “la Francophonie”.
