Junior Angels Start Strong
Early season resutls in exhibition, tournament and league play indicate the team will be one to contend with this season.
This year’s Junior Angels started the season with an exhibition win over Handsworth 53-35. They quickly followed that up with a big regular season road win (by 33 points) against Crofton.
After a tournament weekend setback against STA when down by 25 points at the end of the third quarter the Angels went on an 18-6 run in the fourth to eventually close the gap to 13. It was an impressive display of grit and determination.
The season home opener was against cross street rival York House. The Angels jumped out to an early lead and never looked back winning 54-19. These games gave Coach Ramirez an opportunity to implement a new system and for the grades 9 and 10’s to get to know each other and work towards becoming a cohesive unit. GO ANGELS.
