LFA Chamber Choir Joins 160 Singers at Cap Choral Intensive
This weekend our LFA Chamber Choir joined over 160 singers on stage at the Cap Choral Intensive, a day-long festival and workshop hosted by the music department at Capilano University. The music program at Capilano University is world-renowned, offering diploma and degree programs in both Classical and Jazz Music and annually holds the Cap Choral Intensive Festival for high school choir singers in the Metro-Vancouver area.
Working with guest clinician, Dr. Laurier Fagnan, (Associate Professor of Music from Campus Saint-Jean) our LFA Chamber Choir, along with some members from our Senior Concert Choir, had the opportunity to participate in this day-long choral event at the Blue Shore Performing Arts Center in North Vancouver.
The festival ended with a finale concert featuring performances from the Windemere Vocal Ensemble, Burnaby Central Chamber A, Capilano University Singers, and our LFA Chamber Choir who performed a number of pieces they will be taking with them to Nashville in April to perform at the Worldstrides Heritage Festival being held there.
A special congratulations goes to all of our singers who participated in the workshop, as well as our LFA soloists Nikki Bautista, Stephanie Non and Annika Ferronato who also sang beautifully that evening.
