Parents' Auxiliary Welcome to the 2020/21 School Year

Although this year will look different with Covid restrictions and social distancing in place, we still need your help and look forward to helping you get involved. If you are a new parent to LFA, we encourage you to log into our Parent Participation (PP) website and become familiar with the format. As well as finding volunteer opportunities here, our Parent Participation Coordinators will often send out notices about upcoming opportunities and specific areas of need.

I’m sure many of you are wondering how PP involvement will look this year. I can assure you that we are taking it one week at a time, and we will continue to monitor provincially mandated restrictions and adjust volunteer opportunities to create a safe and inclusive environment for everyone participating. As we did in the spring, if we find that limited volunteer opportunities make 15 PP hours unachievable, we will respond accordingly. Ultimately, the goal of the PP Program is to encourage parents to participate in our school community, meet other parents and guardians along the way, assist the school in a way that will benefit it, and most importantly, enhance the girls experience during their time at LFA.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the PA Committee has had to make several changes to our scheduled events for the Fall/ Winter session.

• Viva Las Vegas postponed until October 2021 (date TBD)
• Mother Daughter Brunch postponed until Nov 28, 2021

We also have exciting PA news to share - we have expanded our Spirit Wear line! Check out all of the new items at our online store & options to personalize them. Due to Covid, delivery is the only option available at this time. The deadline for orders is Wednesday Sept 30th.
