LFA Alum, Michaela Chan '26 Wins Angad Hundal Memorial Award

The Angad Hundal Memorial Award is an annual scholarship, given to support the higher education of a Canadian youth. The applicants are judged by the qualities "highest of a human", including self-discipline, empathy, compassion, patience, tolerance, fairness, helpfulness, open-mindedness, authenticity, consistency, perseverance and respect. 

All high school students, registered to join a college, university or equivalent higher education institution can apply. 

Michaela completed her application back in June and was just announced the winner of the $5,000 scholarship. The judging panel selected Michaela for being a role model in the LFA community through her work as a Prefect, public speaking coach, library monitor, mental health and wellness executive, and peer tutor. Her high academic standing and her vast extracurricular experiences both within and outside LFA were also factors that set Michaela apart. 

LFA is proud of Michaela's incredible accomplishment. Michaela embraced all opportunities that came her way at LFA and truly made the most of them. We hope all our students see her example and are inspired to chase their own pursuits with the same fervor and determination as Michaela displayed.
