In the spirit of Christmas and our mission to spread the Light of Christ, LFA begins its major seasonal outreach project: our annual Christmas Hampers. It is a tradition that dates back to the mid-1970s that our LFA students prepare hampers for less fortunate families in our community.
This year, our Student Council, along with their teacher sponsors Mrs. Canil and Miss Matossian, are leading the initiative again. Each homeroom in the school will prepare a hamper to reach out to our city's community. With help and contribution of so many, we will once again assemble clothing, food, toys, and other essentials to be packed with love and care, into boxes and wrapped up festively. With each homeroom committing to a family, we will make a difference for 17 families in Vancouver this Holy Season. We hope everyone can be as generous as they can with their donations. The hampers will be created over the next month, with the deadline being Thursday, Dec. 9th.
Truly, the LFA angels will help provide special Christmas gifts to families who may not had otherwise have other presents under a Christmas tree. This kind of generous Christmas spirit is one we deeply treasure at LFA.
