Duke of Ed Angel
The Lieutenant Governor of BC, the Honourable Janet Austen, recently presented LFA's Maddie Buss '18 with her Silver Award Certificate at Government House in Victoria, B.C. Maddie is a Duke of Edinburgh Bronze, Silver and Gold Award Achiever, who has shown amazing commitment to achieve all three levels.
Maddie reflected on the journey throught he Duke of Ed program: “My experience with the Duke of Edinburgh Award, which has included over 300 hours of service, dogsledding and backpacking trips and over 500 hours of physical activity, has encouraged me to involve myself in my community and helped me discover passions in places I never would have looked. If you’re looking to expand your horizons, develop your personal profile and grow your leadership skills, the Duke of Edinburgh Award couldn’t be more perfect."
