Food for the Soul: Retreat for Young Alumnae

The UBC Catholic Chaplaincy/St. Mark's Parish is offering a free student retreat, Food for the Soul: God's Dream for Me on Saturday, Feb. 13 from 9 am - 12 pm via Teams. Recent LFA alumnae, who are currently doing their undergraduate degrees (at any university) are invited to take part.
This retreat is open to all undergraduate students, whether they attend UBC or other schools. The retreat offers students the opportunity to reflect on their lives through a spiritual lens, using scripture, contemporary music, artwork, and quiet time for prayer. Students have a chance to share their experiences in small groups for faith sharing. The retreat is free thanks to sponsorship from the William G. Murrin Fund, Project Advance and other donors. Register via Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/138845357201

Students who participated in the fall remarked,
"This is just what I needed!"

"I really feel full of grace from the retreat. From the first review of my days in the past week, I remember my loneliness, worry, hope, and peace. Then I learned to yearn for God’s help and shield, to depend on God’s column of cloud and fire to shine on my journey of life, especially in days of isolation in the pandemic. I am not afraid.  I feel peace and grace. The scripture that touches me deeply is 'you will find me…when you seek me with all your heart.' "

"The structure of each of the methods of prayer .. gave little to no distractions and I felt extremely focused and at peace with myself."
