LFA Wins Provincial Bronze

A roller-coaster of emotion on the final day of Provincials saw LFA narrowly miss the championship game by the slimmest of margins, before a convincing win in the Bronze Medal match. The third place finish means LFA has finished in the top four AAA teams for nine of the last ten years!
In the penultimate game, LFA found themselves up against WL Seaton, who were ranked #3 going into the Provincials. A few mistakes on our part and some good volleyaball on Seaton's part gave the early momentum to the challenger. They rode that momentum to a 2-0 lead in the best of five game. LFA managed to turn the tide in the third set and played some inspired volleyball with their backs to the wall. They came back with two storming wins to bring the sets even at two. In the final set, it was back and forth, with the emotion and volume running high at LFA's centre court. The set went to extra points and, on this day, it didn't go our way.

After a devastating 18-16 loss in the fifth set of the semi-finals against WL Seaton, LFA rebounded and finished strong with a 2-0 win over Dawson Creek. LFA's attack proved too much for Dawson Creek and the Angels comfortably took both sets to finish third in BC at the BC School Sport AAA Provincial Championships. Go Angels!
